Colors in nodes
The input and output channels' borders
The input and output channels each have a border, the color of which shows the node's status:
- The border is normally gray.
- The border turns black when the node is selected; see Selecting nodes.
- The border turns red when it is not connected to the node at the top of the graph (a Camera or Output node), or when it is not receiving any input. This warns you that the node will not give any output from the scene until you connect it to the rest of the graph.
The input and output channels
The input and output channels themselves also change color to show when that channel's image has been selected for viewing:
- The channel is normally beige.
- The channel becomes blue when it is selected for inclusion in the Drawing Window's View Selected mode; see Restricting the images you view.
The node body
The node body is color-coded for different categories of nodes, to help you distinguish between nodes in the Scene Graph panel. You can set the colors used for each category; see Setting the preferences.
